I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now, but I've finally decided to do it.
During my classes, I occasionally talk about yoga philosophy.
That's because yoga cannot be discussed without philosophy.
I think it would be a waste to just attend a class and learn the poses without any understanding of the teachings and ideas of yoga philosophy.
Yoga is so ingrained in my daily life that in some ways I think I am more yogic when I am not doing it.
Thankfully, there are many people who are interested in philosophical topics, and I have received many comments such as, "I'm looking forward to your blog."
(I'm really sorry I haven't been able to get started on it at all...)
In this blog I will be posting about the nitty gritty of yoga philosophy and yoga teachings, but I will also be posting about SivaYoga's activities and what I would like to do in the future.
One thing to keep in mind is that when it comes to philosophy, my personal views and interpretations come into play.
So, please do not think that what is posted here represents the essence of yoga.
I think there are some parts that are essential and some that are not.
Philosophy is something that has no answers.
Yoga scriptures do not contain philosophical interpretations, so even if you read them, you will not understand their meaning.
This is because the teachings of yoga need to be learned through one's own experience.
The answer is to be found through your own experience.
lastly.
There are many teachings about yoga, so I will post what I want to write about or what I have noticed that day.
So please forgive me if I jump ahead a bit (laughs).
Please don't mind if there are typos or if my Japanese is a mess 😂
